Funny, my 6D is suffering the same fate as your:-P:-P

ha there's a trend appearing here! my 6D has also suffered after getting the X100S! Amongst other things, it just handles ISO so much better!

Whoa, are you saying the X100s handles high ISO better than the 6D? I owned both for a while, and the X100s was a great camera, but 6D's high ISO capabilities were much better imo.

maybe I've just been unlucky with my 6D or the 24-105 that came with it but anywhere near 1000 iso gets pretty noisy. The X100S handles that ISO so much better and there is not nearly as much noise in the images.

The 24mm L II is better at higher ISO's on the 6D though.

Then you sir, are lucky! And I clearly have a below par 6D.

Taking images with the 24-105 L at ISO 3200 f4 creates a grainy image.

Although this is getting slightly off thread topic ;-)a

My very un-scientific observations tend to let me think that the X100T produces a thinner luminance noise, while the 6D produces a thicker color noise. While the X100T is noisier, it cleans better that the 6D IMHO.

Along those lines, are you working with raw or jpeg? If jpeg, beware of generalizations unless you know how each camera is configured.

not bad for 12,800! Surprisingly, the mandatory in camera noise reduction doesnt seem to be too bad.

Nice capture
