Links typically are a lighter color when un-visited, and then darker or different color when not visited.

This site is backwards and the colors of visited vs. unvisited are too close together.

Then there is the confusing aspect of some threads being bold and some not bold. I don't know what bold light blue means vs. bold dark blue or non-bold light blue vs. bold light blue. I see a bold light blue with a first unread link and a bold dark blue with a first unread link so this doesn't make much sense.

I can not reproduce this. What browser do you use?

I get this (bolds are as they should be)

Note the "all seen" and "go to first unread" in the middle column. If there is no such text, you have not visited that thread yet.

The problem is exhibited in your screenshot, but I use Chrome.

In your image:

First line is Bold and light blue.
Second line is normal and dark blue.
Third line is bold dark blue.
4-5 is normal dark blue.
6-7 is normal light blue.

There seems to be no correlation to what these colors or bold type means.

That STICKY text is always in bold. I should probably recolor it.

Second line is normal and dark blue.

= All read.

Third line is bold dark blue.

= Never read.

4-5 is normal dark blue.
6-7 is normal light blue.

You can also get a bold as lighter blue, then you have read the thread, but not all pages.

Those should be same color: all read. I'll check that out.

Please try to cope with this for a while. I assure all will be done in time.

Okay, but typically a link color changing means that you have visited that page - this is a web standard for as long as I can remember. So this makes it confusing. And also I have some threads which I have read but they are still bold and dark blue.

POTN's vBulletin incarnation didn't change colours of threads based on whether they'd been read or not (nor do other vBulletin forums, or, for that matter, most other forum software packages of any kind; the bold unread and regular read are all the same colour). Links within posts, OTOH, did and do change colour.

Right, but when they do start changing and changing oddly then it's hard to figure out why. I'm fine if they don't change color and simply show bold if there are unread messages and normal if you've read all the messages.

Yes, that is logical.
