I was after shots of the sky, but the snowflakes stole the show!

Then I waited for a vehicle to enter the picture.

Comments and critiques are more than welcome. It's how I learn and hopefully, improve!

I like the one with the Jeep, makes it more interesting, the yellow hue of the afternoon sun is more pleasing, and the trees look darker, sharper and more defined. IMHO.

Fun shots! I like the one with the Jeep better. It is a little warmer with a bit of sun flare. We have plenty of precipitation here, but not cold enough for snow  Would love to see our ski hill open!

Thank you so much for commenting. My thoughts exactly! I processed the top one first, and liked it, but after processing the Jeep, I found the other one rather boring. I decided to post it to see if others had the same feelings.

Thank you Cory. Our snow has come and gone several times already this fall. Good luck with the skiing, I'll get out my snowshoes!

I like the processing much more with the Jeep photo. However I'm not so sure I like the Jeep itself being in there. Nice shot.

Thank you! I tried processing the first one with the same techniques as the one with the Jeep, but it still seemed a bit plain. Maybe I will give it another try.

Both very nice, but Jeep shot def much nicer! Warmer sky, and the colour of the jeep takes away a little of the cold also while adding some scale to the shot. Well captured, and worth the wait.

My exact thought. #2 is really good. I can almost see it as a commercial with the Jeep moving and the camera closing in to follow it. ;-)a
