Hmm, I'm a bit surprised with the 5DIII result. I wondered if it was the color, or the texture. On this test I think I'd prefer the slight banding on the 5D for what seems to be a bit of extra sharpness.

I know this is ISO 400, not 100, but I've had banding issues (that occasionally actually impact photos) at higher ISOs on the 5D, not just at ISO100.

The test raws I have downloaded for the 7DII seem like they have more DR than what I'd expect from the same image with a 5D - from having used the 5D a lot. Not exactly scientific, but I guess I will be able to see for myself shortly. :-)
