Any chance it will be ported from the old forum? The combination of losing the thread and having PMs reset means I don't remember who I sent that camera to.

I'm in if you want to start a new thread. I tried to do a pay it forward tread and it went bad fast.

I won't take credit for the idea it was a big thread going in the Vb forum with at least a couple pages of stuff being given away. It was stickied so I think it's be considered worth bringing over.

I've been wondering the same thing. How about it, mods?

How does/did it work.

You post an item you want to send a forum member as a gift. Someone who can use the item PMs you, You send it to them.

General guidelines are; only claim something you are actually going to use. This isn't so you can make a buck flipping it. And only try to claim something if you post something of your own to give. It's not policed or anything, pretty laid back and just increasing forum morale and letting you experience the joy of giving.

I was wondering where it was as well! always have stuff at the end of the year that I never use. Given away stuff the past 2 years without even claiming a single thing.

It's actually fun helping someone else out and saves me the trouble of listing it on ebay. Rather give stuff away than deal with shoddy buyers!

Sounds like a good idea. It seems like there's always something you may not be using that can be passed on.
I'll be watching and see if this takes off...

now if I can just find where that darn subscribe button went :)
