Dec 05, 2014 10:49 | #2 Permanent banHaving just switched my wide angle stuff from apsc to full frame, I am happy with the 17-40 and Rokinon 14mm f/2.8 UMC. Sadly, mine will never see a 1Dx. I use them on a 6D. WARNING: I often dispense advice in fields I know little about!

At f/4 though edges get soft so on a FF I'd expect that to be even softer wider Canon 5D Mark III - Canon 5D Mark II - Canon 7D - Canon 70-200 f/2.8L - Canon 24-70 f/2.8L - Canon 17-40L - Canon 85 f/1.8 - Canon 50 f/1.4 - Canon 580 exii (x2) - rokinon 8mm fishey

No offense, but if a 15-30 2.8 would do the job, I'd rather have a 24L II. Two stops more aperture and most likely much better performance at f/2.8.
