Best 7D II deals at this time?

I am looking to purchase the 7D Mark II for a car racing event next weekend. Very excited as I've never been invited to anything like this I see both B&H and Adorama are running specials on the camera.

B&H: $1,799 includes:
* SanDisk 16GB Ultra UHS-I SDHC Memory Card (Class 10)
* Watson LP-E6 Lithium-Ion Battery Pack (7.4V, 1750mAh)
* Ruggard Commando 36 DSLR Shoulder Bag

Adorama Bundle package: $1,699 after MIR includes:
* Canon PIXMA PRO-100
* Canon SG-201 Photo Paper Plus Semi-Gloss, 13x19", 50 Sheets
* Transcend 32GB SDHC Class 10 UHS-I 300X Premium Memory Card, 45MB/s Transfer Rate

Is the only downfall to the Adorama deal waiting for the MIR to arrive? It seems like a no brainer otherwise.

Are there any other deals out there from reputable authorized sellers at this time?

That seems like a good deal, especially with the printer and paper. Canon Price Watch street price is currently $1,639 for just the body, but that supposedly includes shipping and is tax exempt....and no rebate to have to mail in.

Thanks for the response! Kind of odd they make you request the information, then you are sent an e-mail in which you have to supply all your information. At that point I still do not know what company I am dealing with, but I responded to see...

You will get an email and invoice from the seller, then you pay if you still feel comfortable.

We apologize for the secrecy, but all will be clear if you go through it. The reason why we have this convoluted process is answered in our FAQ:

Why the secrecy?

As you may be aware, as of April 2014, Canon USA is now enforcing a strict Minimum Advertised Price on all lenses and bodies. This means authorized Canon dealers cannot (under any circumstances) advertise a price below this minimum advertised price. This doesn’t stop dealers from having deals and specials, it just prevents them from telling you about it.

Dealers can’t even use the old “Add to Cart” trick to tell you about their lower prices, thus the “Street Price” was created. It enables the Canon community to share knowledge of these deals (while allowing the dealer to remain MAP compliant).

We ask that you please do not identify the retailers in a public way (comment posts on our blog, forums, etc.) as it helps ensure we can continue to do these deals going forward.

There was a deal on Cyber Monday for $1,529 plus shipping from KEH, but that deal expired and there has been no confirmed delivery yet.

I expect the price to hover around $1,600 or so through the holidays, then perhaps drops to $1,500 or lower toward the end of 1st quarter next year.

If you're referring to the deal Adorama was offering that week for $1,599 -- that deal is (sadly) gone, as far as I'm aware.

For some reason (unadvertised) prices on the 7D Mark II dropped significantly that week. Our street price was <$1600 as well. But something's happened in the last couple weeks and it's tightened back up (although I would love to hear otherwise if people are still able to get phone deals now.)

Thank you all for the feedback. The reviews for the CPW price company were really good, so I ordered one from them. I also purchased one from Adorama as well. Didn't want to go with the same place just in case a batch of focus issues. Can't wait to put them to use this weekend

No, my wife also shoots Just in case the batch from one store is bad I wouldn't have 2 bad cameras...

Typically, about 8-12 months after release. Likely longer on higher-end bodies and shorter on lower-end bodies.

For example, the 70D was announced in July 2013, first shipped in August 2013, and first appeared in the refurbished store at the end of April 2014.

I'd expect to see the 7D Mark II in the refurbished store no earlier than August 2015.
