I want to use some old barn wood to make some picture frames. I'm basically just cutting a rectangle out of the woood and then using a router to cut out enough space on the back of the frame to hold the picture in place. What I am having a hard time finding is the little retaining tabs you can screw on to the back of a frame that will hold the mat, picture and glass in place. I see these used on picture frames all the time that you can buy Michaels and Hobby Lobby.... They are usually black and have a tine screw that holds the tab in place. But the tab can swivel out of the way when you want to put a picture in it.

Framer's points and a driver can be found at the stores you mentioned.

+1 for framer's points.

That's a Framer's point. They're much more professional (in my opinion). Used to use these a LOT on the ship and I love them.

As for mounting artwork to the matt, don't forget to use archival quality mounting tape, and only use a 'hinge' mount.

Google is your friend for finding odd items (if you can figure out what to call them)
