Thanks. There are some great vineyards in the area too. Craggy Range at the foot of the mountain.

Yes - a couple of years ago had a wonderful seven course meal there as a farewell to a friend leaving the area. Before covid days. And Ocean Beach twenty minutes down the road.

Yes I could try that, but not sure how successful it will be at this time of the year. But definitely worth a try. I do have grapes and a fig tree, so no doubt they'll be into those soon. I don't mind about the figs, as only grew it for the foliage and because it was given to me, but I do like grapes.

Rose I not sure what birds you have, but expect you don't want to encourage sparrows and other imports.
We put out leftover rice, chicken scraps, trimmings off cooked meat, anything not processed as in junk food etc. Fruit scraps. Latter can bring honeyeaters.
Our wrens love it as do the magpies.
Sparrows too, but since I blocked them out of the eaves they've declined, thankfully.
Even water is an attraction, and with summer here that would be appreciated. Well depends on how dry you are!
We've forecast upto 100 mm rain next to days. That won't go astray though.

Sparrows don't need encouragement! Have had thrush and blackbirds nesting, but they keep out of the cera line for the most part, and I wouldn't magpies, as they can be so aggressive. We do get mynahs, but over the years I have removed trees in their flight paths, and don't see them so much now, thank goodness! In winter get the waxeyes, be interesting to see if any will come if Put out some cocnut oil for them.

We've had a bit of rain lately, and my grass is still green, rare for this time of year. I have had the intention of getting a bird bath, but keep forgetting!

One of the reasons why the 12-100 lens is so great for travel. - This is a zoomed in view of the Craggy Range Winery from the Te Mata Peak:

Great shot with one of my favourite lenses! Do you find that you use the 12 - 40 with having the 12 - 100?

Since buying the 12-100, the 12-40 has become my backup lens on my backup camera. ie 12-100 on E-M1 Mk III is my main camera, with the 12-40 on the E-M1 Mk II as my primary backup camera.

That make sense. My back up is a M5 Mk11, which will take the 12 - 40 but tend to use for other lenses ...

I stumbled on this just now.
Cradle Mountain Olympus OM Digital Photo Workshop with Cam Blake Photography (external link)
Never heard of Olympus running workshops here in Tasmania, yet alone in the wilderness
Unfortunately for this one the weather clagged in and they had to depart Cradle Mt and settle for a short break viewing Mt Roland - our backdrop - this was taken September last
