Thanks Jeff
Yes same and I get to keep my old lens too!
Not sure what I'll do with that!
I pay $500 excess which I'm content with.

Paul that's an impressive beast.
Love the colours. Very nice photo.

You have some big wild animals over there.
That would not want to be argued with.

Thank you Richard. I was surprised how the EM5 ll held up at ISO 3200. Not great but still a keeper for me.

Really hate to hear about your lens!

I will say though that these shots show that it’s the person not the equipment most of the time ! :)

Really nice couple of photos!!

I'm starting to think you don't need a lens at all, just a sensor to hold in your hands ;) Very very nice :D

I would list it on e.bay spares or repairs only .. and list internationally I presume they do the global shipping program out there . so you just post to a local depot ..be brutally honest with a description and pics ...I would guess you will get a sale at around 200-300. ... the deciding factor when writing something off is repair time ...there are guys that do this for a hobby so buy write offs

changed systems to MFT olympus omd1-E.M1X , Olympus 100-400 zuiko .., xiaoyi 42.5mm f1.8 . four thirds mmm-2 ,, four thirds 11-22.. and pergear 60mm f2.8 macro

Thank you very much for your kind words, they are very encouraging.
I have some dismal moments too, rest assured ;-)a

It was certainly heart wrenching when it went thud on the concrete. I've already a plan to ensure it stays on.
Will post pictures if my idea looks sound.

Thanks Jeff. I'll do that.
I'd imagine the front lens system is worth money. The lady I spoke to asked about a filter and said the repairs for that end are horrendous too.
Will see what interest there is.
I'll have to check with insurers. They may want it?

I have a new strap on order arriving today , will post a photo later it might be your solution, doubt whether insurers will want it ... from my experience As long as a item is honestly described on the bay most sales especially spares and repairs go through easily ,list it in auctions for 10 days start the price at 1 dollar/pound etc

yesterday the wife alerted me to the fact there was a buzzard being mobbed out the front of the house , time I got off the settee gone into back room got camera out of storage then gone outside it was quiet a way downwind ... anyway took a few record shots .. but on putting them on computer I realised the buzzard was being mobbed by a crow as it had I believe a rabbit ? in its claws
massive crop on this pic but a good record shot .

Nope a buzzard is a specific species of bird of prey , Of which there are quiet a few types ranging from the smaller ones kestrels, hobbies, peregrine, merlins, etc through to the larger marsh harriers, hen harriers, buzzards, goshawks,Red kites, Ospreys and on to a few eagles Types .. then we have several types of owl as well
But still not as many species as you have stateside .. we do also if the weather conditions are right sometimes get rare visitors from the continent .
