Black headed gull - slow pan

Black headed Gull

Not sure about this one, it was taken at 1/8, ISO 50 / f/22 on a 1D MK4 and 300 f/2.8 MK2 .

I panned through the bird to get this effect... lots of unsuccessful attempts,

Its my first attempt at this type of shot, I guess you either hate them or enjoy something different ?

Looks like you have the right shutter speed for the movement.

The only improvement I would suggest with these sort of shots is to try and get the head still enough to show sharp but the wings and background blurred, just my taste.
