Speaking of tabs, and mobiles... When I'm logged on through my main machine (PC), logging in from my tablet or phone at the same time is a no go.. Tells me that I have the wrong credentials.. When I log OUT of the forum on my PC, then I'm able to log in from the tablet or phone... So no coinciding sessions?

Main Machine - PC - Browser, Firefox.

Tablet - Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 - Browser, Chrome.

Phone - LG G3 - Browser, Chrome.

Not trying to hijack thread, just a similar issue involving mobile devices...

----

Edit: just noted that I can log into my account twice if I log onto the tablet first, then the PC...

Haven't had this problem at all between phone and PC.

Sessions can not share cookies or data, that I know of. You can log out from one machine/browser and other's stay logged.

Yes, that is fine. You can log in from any number of browser from many devices. I can see your sessions from 2 machines now. I will add a "show where am I logged from?" to FYEO later (or sooner, depends :)).

One suggestion, not directly related to your question is to stay logged in unless you are using a shared device. I never log out on any of my devices and I have the log in persistence set to one month with no activity. I've used multiple sessions from multiple devices without any issue.

Ah, seems my "issue" was a simple thing.. My tab and phone kept adding a space to the end of my user ID, taking the space out fixed my login problem.. Touchy touchy system, but glad it was something simple..
