I have an old Nikon SB-28 Speedlight in good condition left over from my film days. I'm going to give it to a friend who has a Nikon D5200 DSLR. I'm aware TTL won't work but Auto will.
Can you see any problems arising?

More info | Dec 08, 2014 19:21 | #2 I have used, and still use as a back up, an SB-28 in auto or manual modes, and with good success with my two Canon cameras. Which doesn't fully answer your question, but if it works on a Canon, i gotta think it will work just fine on a Nikon, with the above limitations. In auto flash mode will set the aperture +/- as a fake exposure compensation. I've passed the flash onto my Nikon shooting friend who only shoots in manual anyway. It's his first flash and he's thrilled. Jurgen
