This happens in threads that you're following (similar to subscribed threads at Old POTN). It's explained on your For Your Eyes Only page.

So how are you supposed to use it. If I click on the link all that happens is that I get a little bit of animation appearing in the top left of the screen that disappears after about a second and that is it.

Totally bamboozled!!!

That might be a bug. The way it's designed, you initiate the traversing process by clicking something.

Would someone who uses the Traverse Unseen feature please respond to John's question?

I have followed a thread that is quite active. When I click the Traverse Unseen, I am directed to the first unread post by me and a little control panel is shown to the left where I can click and get directed to the next unseen post on the followed thread. The control panel also shows a count of the next # of Unseen posts.

I absolutely love it as it allows me to quickly run through my favorite threads.

Here's something for the open minded: TRAVERSING ONLY POSTS WITH PHOTOS

1. Go to the first page of a long thread.

(if you are already following that thread, click "FOLLOWED THREAD" and there give the command to stop following the thread, for the sake of this demo)

2. Click "FOLLOW THIS THREAD" (top right next to pagination)

3. Now click that "TRAVERSE UNSEEN"

From this point you get a side toolbar.

In there click "posts with photos".
The page reloads.

Now just keep clicking that "TO NEXT UNSEEN" and enjoy the photos. it skips all photos that do not load.

For that kind of browsing it is often good to make the browser pretty narrow so you full photos in view. If you click that "TO NEXT UNSEEN" very fast, you won't get the posts marked "seen", and you could be bought back to previous page. If yo click any link, the traversing is stopped.
