Pretty curious if anyone has an opinion on this. I know the business side of things is my weakest point and I'm always willing to learn.

Jimmy Beltz (phototips.biz) has a pretty good business course, and it's only $20. Disclaimer: I don't know him, but he is a fellow Okie. I'm not a shill or anything (which is exactly something a shill would say, I know :)).

I bit, purchased it and going through it now...

It really does seem to have some very good information. Production quality is not as good as a Lynda.com course, but is perfectly acceptable and not distracting.
Can't say if the information is going to really improve my business by that much, but it's certainly answering a lot of questions I've had about marketing and giving me lots of good ideas to implement.

Jacob, thats great to hear. it seems like it would be good. Is it a lot of generic info or really precise steps that seem to be out of the box. Just want to make sure its not just the obvious. I have a sales background so already implement a lot of this strategies.

how are the supporting forms, templates etc

It's pretty specific up to where I am, so far,

"This marketing technique WORKED for me. This is what we did, this is how we did it, here are samples of that we use, this is what we printed it on, and here's what we do with it."

then "These DIDN'T work'
and "These MIGHT work for you but we stopped using them"

Just watched one useful vid on this guys Youtube channel and will be going back for me.

I think I would throttle Brent Mail on sight. My guess is that Mail makes more money from selling advertising courses than from photography. I find that hard to respect.
