I called up the store last week in anger (but with a nice tone, ofcourse) and explained that i bought a brand new X100s for $1250 less than 3 weeks ago, they claim that they have no idea when a price reduction will be, they get a note about it 1-2 days before they change the price.
The guy i was talking to (one of the biggest camera store chains in Sweden) was nice and did understand my problem and asked if he could talk to the managers and call back this week.
At noon today they still hadent called back so i called up them and asked to talk to the man than i bought the camera from, he was kinda upset that i was upset (lol) but i asked him if i, as a consumer, should ignore the camera stores and instead buy everything at big warehouses like walmart (we have different ones in Sweden, but you get the picture) where they have 30 days price guarantee and other benifits for me as a customer.
After 8-10 minutes argueing about this he finally said (to get rid of an annoying customer i guess).. ok, i can not change your price, i can not take back your already bought camera... BUT, i will give you free of charge, a Telelens TCL-X100. Will that satisfy you?
I was somewhat speechless for a few seconds, that one is roughly $350, but after a few seconds i said..ok, done deal.
No shipping fee and totally free, it's in the mailbox this wednesday (a black shiny brand new..woohoo!) and i will post impressions and maybe a photo or two.
Anyway, besides my story.. for all you Swedes, now is the time to buy an S.. it wont get better than this for a long time
