I've purchased two items recently where the sellers shipped via Parcel Select, which is basically the slowest boat of delivery services. 2 - 9 business days. These were non-ebay transactions. I don't even see Parcel Select as an option on USPS web site, so I'm guessing it is from stamps.com or similar services. Can someone clue me in on that? Is it a big savings vs Priority Mail?

The waiting isn't so bad, but I really don't like my package getting kicked around for an extra week by the postal service. I will be asking sellers to confirm shipping method going forward. Never had one Parcel Select delivery over hundreds of previous purchases, so I'm wondering if this is a growing trend.

I have had the best luck with Priority mail. My packages seem to arrive in better condition and it is pretty fast.

I wonder if Parcel Select is just a re-named Parcel Post?

Parcel Select isn't too bad. It's FedEx that delivers it to your local USPS and they take it and deliver it to your door.

Which means you can get yours stuff on Saturdays.
