Great to see Gary Fong jump in and help out another photographer who was being sued.

Yeah, he's a nice guy.. Not a fan of his products, but if he's making money more power to him.

If you're interested in the lawsuit you can find ~17 page thread from 2 years ago on the topic.

Thanks Brandon i guess this link i posted wraps it up. Too bad that thread went down the wrong route accusing Gary of taking the money instead of what actually happened which is helping the photographer with legal fees.

Whilst the lawyer was a douche, the Wedding Photographer's skills are very, very poor.

Not sure what planet Gary Fong is on saying the Wedding photographer is in the top 10 percentile of Wedding Photographers.

Actually come to think of it, unfortunately he may be right.

I agree with smorter

The photographer in question lacks a certain degree of professionalism. He has no website, no contract (this is all we know for certain, the reasoning behind it is unfortunately hearsay)

Above all, the couple likely paid $5000+ for them ($3800 + travel fees + accommodation), and judging by the photographer's skills, 'ruined our wedding' isn't too much of a hyperbole.

Of course, threatening and the obvious extortion is just douche behaviour, but I can't help but feeling a little sorry for the groom

Also I am not a fan of Gary Fong, his products aren't very good and the way he markets them is a bit unorthodox (eg. comparing edited vs non edited before and after), he seems to also have very low standards when he says the photographer is in the top 10%.

The testifying photographer he claims to be 'one of the best in the world' isn't very good either. I suspect most people in this forum are better

Just my 2 cents

Just saying:

I loved watching the amount of support we got as so many people got behind the Poon/Tang case.

But I do agree

Poon-Tang is probably the most sexually explicit case name in the history of law

So it kind of makes me wonder what this was really all about because the facts of the case are just absurd. Rookie photographer, no contract, didnt cover his butt anywhere, moron attorney, Frivolous lawsuit. Maybe a perfect storm but a side of me thinks they blew it all out of proportion just to make a mockery of the legal system with Poon-Tang......Just sayin

and God Knows GF loves to be in the media spotlight
