As my name suggests, yes, I'm a very 'new' newbie. I love nature shots -- all kinds. My new thing lately, however, is taking photos of dogs in training. These shots were taken this past weekend of a dog doing a series of water retrieves with a canon 300D, canon 75-300mm. Sorry, don't have the camera settings with me...

I realize not everyone out there cares for dog shots but -- what I want to know is what would YOU do to maximize such photos to their best ability? What's the best way to get the photos to be bright and vivid? I'm losing something and I'm not sure what...

Any and all feedback is really welcome. I'm here to learn and to grow... thanks all!
