When I was having mount issues. I had to turn off and turn on to get back to having a view display. Check the tightness of screws on the adapter, check how much flex you are getting with the lens mounted.

Canons to the left, Canons to the right,
We hold our L glass toward the light,
Digitizing in a snap reflective glory
That will forever tell our imaged story.

Here's a video of the crash bug I experienced...

I've sent this video to Lensrentals so hopefully they are able to diagnose/fix the issue.

Yes. I first noticed this at the wedding, which obviously meant there was an SD card inside.

Did you try doing a factory reset? Also does it only do it with the EF adapter?

Sorry this is happening. I have never had that happen on either my A7 or II

Today I made an update to my super fast tele lens (external link) tinkering based on the Canon FD 400mm/2.8L, I think now I have someting 250mm/1.7 or near to that. With the Alpha 7II I get now infinity - much more versatile than back then with the Canon EOS.

I'm not sure if I'm missing this feature, but I can't seem to shoot Raw + small jpgs. Is that not an option? I only seem to be able to shoot Raw + full size jpg.

A quick shoot with the A7II and 55FE. Love this combo and didn't think I'd be interested in the new 35 f/1.4 coming out but I think it will be just as excellent if not better than the 55. GAH.
