Well, being kinda house bound for the last couple of weeks due to a herniated disc in my back, I have been reviewing some of my older pictures that never made it to being edited. Found this one that I had totally forgotten about and decided to play around a bit with it in post. It suffered from a fair bit of overexposure but I think that I managed to get it back to close to the original view.

This was take at Byce on the way down from Sunrise point into the Canyon proper, just after sunrise. I was stunned when I turned around from looking away from the sunrise to behind me to discover that the hoodoos to the east were almost glowing in a beautiful pinkish orange light. Hopefully I managed to capture and impart that glow with this.

Comments always welcome.

You are on a roll with Bryce shots. Nice to see someone from East Coast making it that far West.

Thanks!

It was actually return to MOAB after a whirlwind visit with my son, daughter-in-law and grandkids. I promised myself that I would revisit Utah by myself for a more leisurely visit. Ended up doing the loop from Salt Lake City to MOAB, Monument Valley, Antelope Canyon, Zion and finally Bryce. Did all the classic shots I could get and now thinking of going back again for some not so usual locals. Favourite place was Bryce, I should have spent more time here rather than Zion. I don't have a head for heights and Zion was a bit much for some of the hikes for me.

Would really like to attempt the White Rim trail at Canyon Lands. Did Shafer Canyon but not really sure on the White Rim one. Looked at the online videos and they make my skin crawl, but, Oh the scenery!!

I've been to Bryce twice in 2012 and once in 2013. The places in AZ, not UT I want to revisit would be Horseshoe Bend, Lake Powell, Antelope Canyon & other slot canyons, Monument Valley.
