Caught some varying light throughout the morning at this location. Like Black Fox said, these are skittish birds and it's tough to get anywhere near them, so most of these were taken at quite a distance and significantly cropped.

a couple of also ran shots of sparrow hawks from last week ,difficult shooting conditions ,grey heavy overcast skies and also shooting into the sun made them a exposure and processing nightmare

been away a little while...and some great pics all!

one from today, an Eastern Yellow Robin got right up close to me to the point i almost couldn't focus...in fading light had to jack up to ISO 10000 (yep, ten thousand) and needless to say was pleased with the result at this stupidly high ISO :D

Just joined this club - and am really impressed with how sharp this lens is at 600mm.
The extra reach is so enjoyable from the sidelines allowing you to put yourself right in the middle of the action.
The weight takes a bit of getting used to coming from a 70-200 - but well worth imho.

Wow - just cruised through this entire thread - and man some of the BIF shots you've all posted are truly amazing.
The aircraft shots makes next summer for the first close airshow a very long wait.
Great shots everyone - that's some high marks to reach for.

had a play day yesterday and bolted my lads 7Dmkii to the sig-meister ,quite impressed with the results up to now .i thought noise would be a problem but easy to handle in p/p,and retaing more detail at distance as well i.e the bubbles round the oystercatchers feet and sand on its beak

nice to see someone using one on a 1dx as well ,most 1dx users look on this lens as below them .so well done and a super image to . shows theres no limits to the versatility of this lens have you tuned yours yet it really improves the performance
