first off excuse the quality of these shots ,there high iso .but with a reason ,i have just purchased a kenko 1.4dgx HD teleconverter ,there latest model the reason being that coupled with the sigma sport on my canon 1D3 body it allows the use of all focus points and modes ,unlike the canon tc's which are centre point only ,i.e 840mm with all focus points .i now know this doesn't work with a 7D2 for some reason. but i got it mainly for the 1d3.
the two shots were literally grab shots to test out functions i will give it a better test when the light improves ,,long grim winter here this year

couple more from this morning ,again both shots hand held at 840mm ,the t.c seems to overexpose to negative exposure comp is needed not a bad thing really as that allows for faster shutter speeds or lower iso values .
learning curve with this but getting there .stopping down obviously has helped with i.q here taking baby steps with it but its looking good .
p.s critteracing i think its more to do with hand holding at 840mm .

a slightly better one ,this time negative exp comp applied and stopped down to f10 ,once the weather improves here i will try it out properly and ascertain the optimal settings .we have had a really horrible winter in the northern u.k and its limiting photo time .
canon 1d3-sigma-150-600,sport + kenko 1.4 dgx.HD tc handheld at 840mm .

couple more from the rig ,if anything i think it actually improves my rig as filling the frame more means less cropping on the 10mp 1d3

You are getting some great shots with this combo. Bumbed to see that not all the focus points work on the 7d2 as that is the camera I have.
