Thanks Keddy. With some more practice, I know I'll be able to capture some really nice shots with this lens. It is certainly a handful. PhilM

Jun 08, 2016 08:37 | #1041 So I figured I'd see how this lens does on the crop sensor 7DII last night. I didn't have much time, as it was a last minute thought after dinner. There is a cleared area near a local strip shopping center that has had a number of scissor tailed flycatchers grazing lately so I ran by to see if any were there. Jun 14, 2016 08:47 | #1044 This lens still continues to impress me. This is about a 60% crop of a shot taken at 600mm. Pretty damn sharp. IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/HdSP66https://www.flickr.com/photos/22055591@N05/albums

Jun 15, 2016 22:07 | #1048 EyeSpyEagle wrote in post #18040407 It was GREAT! The racing, the area, the locals... we had a wonderful time. I'd love to go back some day. This was IMSA testing at the Glen. Everyone is testing the new 12 million dollar track surface and it is extremely fast. If you want to come back, this is the year - for the first time in a long time Indy cars will be running on Labor Day weekend. They are testing on June 20th and I will post some photos. https://www.flickr.com/photos/22055591@N05/albums
