I'm looking for a Canon LP-E4 in good conditions with preferably two or three bars on the battery.

Why not get a non OEM battery?
I am using these in my 1DX:
http://www.ebay.co.uk …geName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT (external link)
Whilst they are not quite as good as the Canon ones they give about 80% capacity, charge properly on my LC-E4n charger and are a fraction of the price - that is 10 of these for the price of one LP-E4n!
One point to note is that, on the 1DX, the battery meter does not work but they are just fine with the 1D3/1D4.

Life is for living, cameras are to capture it (one day I will learn how!).
