What's in your lighting kit bag?

Here's mine (Supports and large mods go in another bag)

CheetahLight CL-360
2 - Cheetahlight V850 with Magmods
Godox V860n
Nikon SB-800
4- Nikon SB-28DX (Cowboy Triggers)

Various small light mods and studio equipment.
I normally carry AA's, AAA's, and the V850 batteries in my smaller bag that holds the camera. I'll also move this gear into a Domke F-1X if I don't need everything. (The SB-28's fit perfect in the front pockets)

In the top flap I put gels, spare parts, the little stands for the SB-28's, and some other odds and ends.

i bought some cheap stands and umbrellas (both reflector and shoot through) from amazon...

they came in a light weight nylon bag. i threw a handful of spring clamps in it and carry my speedlites and transmitter in my camera bag...

im not advanced enough yet to take advantage of a big set up like yours...

-im just trying. sometimes i succeed

A lot of the time, I do just that, if I only need one or two speedlights. =)

The really big gear is still at home in Colorado, so no photos of that, but it's all in big hardsided gig cases. (Will upgrade them to Pelican cases next time I'm home, but I'm also looking at getting Einsteins.)

Two lighting bags, actually:

IMAGE: http://www.diamantstudios.ca/Gemeines/bilder/Port_a_gear.jpg

The one standing contains:

  • 2x Hensel Integra 500
  • 7" bowl reflector
  • Umbrella reflector
  • 2x PocketWizard PlusX triggers with cables
  • 3 lighstands
  • 1 background stand
  • Lee Filters Gels Location Pack
  • White and black cards
  • 1x medium softbox
  • 1x small softbox
  • 2x speedrings
  • 15-ft, ca. 14 heavy duty extension cord

That case is so heavy that the handle came off once.

The laptop messenger bag, having been drafted into service as lighting bag contains the 12" bowl reflector and the 3x4-ft 5-in-1 reflector.

I like it! Which C-Stand is that? The matte black looks nice.

No picture, but I use a Pelican 1514 case for my lights. It holds 2 Einsteins, 2 Vagabond mini lithiums, my triggers, cords and a couple of superclamps.

Stands and folding modifiers go in a rolling duffel bag. I tried wearing my OMNI reflector as a hat once but my assistant kept wacking it with a light stand to hear the gonging noise...so that gets hand carried to shoots now. :)
