This is not a complaint for Canon. My printer served me VERY well. It was a great deal (part of one of those $400 rebates 2 or 3 years back).
I'd estimate that it printed about 200 13x19" full color prints, 2000 full colored 8.5x11" prints (glossy, semi-glossy, and platinum quality), and 5000+ b/w text sheets. It was a great value (well to me at least with those many prints) and I would buy it again or recommend if needed.

The head started giving me trouble with only light cyan, so I cleaned it and it worked for another 300 8.5x11" full color prints. It clogged again and I tried to clean it, but it appears that it is unfixable. It's too bad that the one color made all of my prints no good.

I actually do prefer the colors and quality of my very old HP photosmart printer that prints with 02 ink, but HP changed their paper (to be more eco-friendly) so it's not the same at all.

Anyhow, good bye printer. Free broken printer for anyone in Honolulu, Hawaii for pick-up.
