I woke up this morning, looked out of the window and saw this guy in the water! According to eBird, this may be the first Western Grebe in my county since 2013! Thanks for looking!

Scrumhalf Cream of the Crop More info | Oct 27, 2016 01:19 | #1494 Paid a visit to Dawson Creek Park in Hillsboro, Oregon after eBird indicated a profusion of wood ducks, up to 350 of them! It was a really rainy afternoon and it rained throughout the 1.5 hours I spent walking around. But the wood ducks were there, not quite 350, but I counted at least 125 of them. Here are a few of them! So, I would estimate that there were more than 300 wood ducks there at sunset. And yes, the mandariin was there as well! It was really dark and I didn't have a flash, so I cranked up the ISO, tried to brace myself and made the best of it.
