This is quite a versatile lens and quite sharp indeed.
This one hand held using a knee to stabilize a little. After holding the camera w/ lens attached on a longer hike in the woods it got a bit heavy.

Of course we get 3 days of gloomy weather. I managed to go out and try it out this afternoon, nothing interesting going on so I grabbed this goose just to test the sharpness, IS and ease of hand holding.
