While I like the sharpness of that shot, it is interesting to notice the bokeh - it is really weird. I get the the same from my lens when the background is tall grass or branches. Still do not know what causes that.

Probably has something to do with the number of elements @ the distance between the subject and it's background + the objective lens (it's no 300 F2.8). Probably some amplification occurs just because of the nature of the number of elements. That's my non technical + beer consumption Hypothesis. This is where one would probably do some post + cropping, but I'm too lazy and would just wait another day.
