I think John_T is cheating!!!!
Don't think it is possible at all to take a bad landscape picture in Switzerland. ;-)a

Very nice pics and really shows how wide angle lenses are NOT required.

I could not find a bad one when I was there. I'll try to find one when we go again this October :-) I have always liked telephoto landscape shots.

pondrader it was shots like that that plus a few others that finally made me decide to upgrade to the v2 100 - 400 even though my v1 100 - 400 is very very sharp and has done me proud in africa - the small detail the v2 captures at extended range is exceptional
love your work :-D
cheers rob

...don't forget skyscapes. You can frame just the piece of sky you want.

Thats One of the first things that I noticed with this lens Rob,...detail at a distance is so good even hand held. One of the first thing's I was lucky enough to put glass on was a Moose at a long distance across a pond,... super I think!!

thanks mm - couple of leopards old mate (mum and daughter) but yea pretty similar to jags ( never actually seen a jaguar) - and yea they can be very elusive - first two trips to africa i saw one leg hanging out of a tree i think at about 200 meters - the last two trips we saw 3 or 4 each trip so became almost run of the mill and a couple were within 2 meters of the truck - well i guess never quite run of the mill ;-)a - but just the luck of the draw

kruger is pretty good but you cant leave the made tracks and it can be very busy in the main touristy type areas

cheers rob

Cedric ....Thank You

A female Merganser resting on a rock as I paddled up to her, she simply sat and watched me pass, ...I thanked her and moved on

Only minor stitches needed Pondrader ;)

Patrol50....my bad. Maybe because we were in s.America a couple months ago I got them confused :( And I said Kruger because I figure most don't know Timbavati Reserve where we actually were and def. off roading we went :) That's a beautiful creature lying in repose.

I think on my next trip the most serious animal will probably a hummingbird :) They did tell us not to pick up the frogs even if they are colorful.

Sometimes it would be a crime not to do a little manipulation
