I'vee gifted my 70D to the betterhalf, her intro to the EOS world, not that I'm steering her away from her precious Olympus just different tools. So while she was a work I played a bit with the combo-

My gosh Annie you are asking a lot! First you ask me to spare the squirrels and now give away a lens!
Give a woman an inch and she'll next ask for a kilometer :)

We dont have Cardinals here in BC, in fact, I've never seen one in all West Coast. Same thing with Blue Jay, but we do have Stellar Jay, its distant cousin.

I also miss Cardinals so much, such a beautiful bird

The distinct snowflakes on the Blue Jay are incredible Pondrader, seriously sharp lens.
Archibald we saw Magpies in Costa Rica that looked very similar to Blue Jays, wish we had them here.
Anyway here is one I crossed posted on the 70D thread, me again 'borrowing' Poof's rig-

Sadly she's a cripple but Annie you're going to love knowing we're making it easy for her to source food.
Annie you'll also be interested in knowing why I'm not killing squirrels anymore--this guy found in the front yard-

Now back to the cripple, in this next shot you can see she has a non-functional right foot.

See you have a good heart after all! They seem to be able to manage with only one foot/leg but not wing. I fed one (I think it was a sparrow) that had only one leg and it did fine for a whole winter. This is a great image - what's her name?

Aww, I just looked at the link - I have such a love/hate relationship with raptors. Don't tell me that it has eaten the squirrel? I have to admit I chase the sparrow-hawk away when I see it lurking around the feeders.

The hawks won't have to eat squirrel if they don't want to ;)
The hawk station is almost complete....they'll have all the fresh chicken they want hanging there.....but
I'm waiting for everything to ice and snow over before starting that.

I especially like the light in that first image, Robert.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".
