Remember, if you insured your gear, you should not have to insure it during shipping, which will save you some shipping cost, but check with the insurance company first. I don't think it sounds like a ping or crystal but that is pretty subjective. Only happens when I focus on something at a different distance. When refocusing on a previous spot it is not there. Triplexbee Member  More info | Interesting. It is happening only on larger focus shifts. I imagine it as an ultrasonic motor brake noise.
