Is that the Hairy WP? The beak looks a bit larger than the Downy, but it could be me. I haven't seen one in soooo long.

Ya thats a Hairy Al, This is a Downy and a Pine Siskin I shot today

Getting to know how to use this a little better. What are people's opinions on the eyes. Its really the only selection that I have altered. They didn't look too bad when I processed the pic but now I'm not so sure.

They look OK from here. There's plenty of light coming in, so I don't think there's an unnatural look.

Some Canon stuff and a little bit of Yongnuo.

I have not seen a Pine Sisken in about 5 years in my area. I hope they are doing fine.

Finally adding this gem to my owl collection. Ironical since they live within 2 miles of our cabin that I would have to travel 1000 miles north to find one--this one after 5 hours of tramping through snow, ice and cold (though the snow ice and cold are nothing like we had last year in Quebec hunting Snowies and Greys-

Gear List

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

Welp, like the dummy I truly am, right after I paid off my previous bills I immediately threw myself right back into debt and picked this lens up after seeing the images from this thread. Some great shots in here! Luckily I have a few side jobs and owed debts being paid to me soon which will soften the blow/buyers remorse.

I want to get into shooting wildlife stuff when I visit places like Joshua Tree National Park so I figured that this would be a good lens to add to my little collection. Ill be pairing this wonderful thing with a 7DmkII and 5DmkIII. You guys might see this idiot around here more often.

It's just money. Moreover, the regret will melt away once this lens starts making some sweet music with your 7D2.. a killer combo as evidenced by this thread and the 7D2 thread.

I'm also a big fan of mFT cameras/lenses and am on the wait list for the Leica 100-400mm for my Lumix
GX8. When the day comes I'll be comparing it to the EOS 100-400mm. Cost is about the same, of course
size/weight are way different. The Leica is 0.5 faster on the wide end and a 1/3 stop slower (6.3) on the long
end. I'm just hoping it will be worth of its Leica moniker.
