I love how versatile this lens is. It can be used for subjects that are very close:

Reach is addicting. I was so close to ordering the 80D just now, but stopped myself short.

Out shooting with the II + 1.4xIII, and was starting to get dismayed by the softness of the results on the back of the camera. Well, after getting home and getting them into Lightroom my reservations were quickly dispelled. Just excellent results with the combo, no need to worry at all! I figured out long ago not to judge IQ by chimping because you won't see the full quality of your shots, so this was a refresher!

Robin shot is full, no crop.

The 'pecker is heavy crop. Those guys are tricky to shoot, very wary of you!

heh, heh, heh.... I would have liked to catch the look on your face !

The lens is sweet, I'm really starting to enjoy it coupled with the 7D II and rarely use anything else. :-)

Very cool perspective.

Right down the chute ! I didn't want to stay on the ground too long in from of him, maybe enticing him to come play with me, so it was shoot and run ! As you probably know, these guys are pretty fast on the ground when they want to be, Wayyyy faster than me I am sure without testing the theory. I appreciate the compliment, Thanks !

I can see why you'd say that, but be-leeeeve me....
He was real ! Kind of a pretty thing from down there wouldn't you say ? Maybe he was a she ?

A fine compliment if I ever had one, Thanks MM.
I always enjoy hearing what others have to say about what I think was cool. Overall it was a heck of a day at Viera ! ;-)a
