Yes I know but what a little peace of heaven to shoot in. I don't know what I would do if I didn't have mine. I mean I shoot everything from birds, deer to bear in the same 30 x 60ft area just outside my kitchen doors. I feel for those that don't have a little sanctuary of there own,...I could use your expertise in the flower department ?? I know !! you expected something close to Bush people in Alaska ??...... not really

Thank's Kevin, I built that deck in the worst part of being diagnosed with Graves Disease. I was down 70lbs and shakin like a freight train but me and my 14 year old son got it done. I wanted something a little different. I found a little colour today,....

Are you using a flash on these shots, Kevin?

No Damien. In this instance I just opened up the shadows a bit in PS to reveal the eye when the sun isn't on them. When I remember, in similar light with dark subjects, I STTR +2 and adjust as needed in RAW

My 100-400 doing a bit of landscape on Monday. It was an absolute corker of a misty sunrise on the river.
I have just had to tighten down the four tiny screws in the tripod foot for a third time, this time using some low strength loctite. It will be interesting to see how long that lasts. After a year and a bit with this lens I can honestly say that while it was a fair old outlay it was worth every penny.

Beautiful. I have always liked telephoto landscapes. It's kind of your own little world you hone in on. Endless framing opportunities and no distortions, etc. I read article where that's all one known nature photographer would do.

I grabbed the refurb 1.4x iii extender from the father's day sale.
Let's see how it pairs with 100-400 ii

Did a quick test of the extender on arrival with 100-400 II and 7D M2.
Fantastic. It almost does not feel like there is an extender. This seems a sweet combo.
Field test will be after MFA..
