Jun 18, 2016 10:27 | #3950 I just started to get them showing up to my feeders this year but they're very sporadic and they don't stay too long and I made there nectar (clear) a little sweeter than normal.

Does the feeder have little bars so they can park there? We find they stick around more with that style of feeder. Also yo have to be out there a lot so they get used to you which is not easy to do. Does the feeder have little bars so they can park there? Yes the feeders I use have the perches on them I had one of the Perky-Pet Hummerbars but I took it down it was too much of a pain to fill and clean I actually went a bought a replacement for it along with and oriel feeder. Also yo have to be out there a lot so they get used to you which is not easy to do. I try to be out as much as possible but I hear you its not that easy. I was taking one feeder down and one of them came and fed off the other feeder about 3 feet away from me I didn't seem to phase it at all.

Second real outing with it today at the San Diego Zoo. Surprised it doesn't cost more than it does... Shooting through thick zoo enclosure glass, and images cropped down considerably, the images still look usable to me. The birds came in at around 12pm 3 hrs ahead of their normal time. How do they know that they are going to have to bunker down lately due to another heavy rain/storm system coming in? These are large crops which in camera looked OOF but I'm guessing the lack of feather detail is blurring due to the low shutter speed and strong wind ![]() ![]() ![]() Crisp. Image Editing OK

I didn't think they were too bad for iso1600, slow shutter, lens wide open at full stretch and moisture in the air, and hand held. I'm loving this camera as much as the lens and don't miss the 5Dll one bit............well?............maybe a bit See my fishy photography here: https://kevindickinsonfineartphot.smugmug.com/Tropical-Fish-2/
