Sizeable crops from about 30ft...still produces nice images; really enjoying this lens!

Just got my hands on this lens. Only had about 15mins to play today, nevertheless, I present the obligatory bird shot. Anybody know what type of duck/goose/bird this is? Maybe a Muscovy duck?...but I don't see any images with smooth faces.

Great captures. I have dragonfly's around my work and I can't get my auto focus to track them for a darn. I guess they are just too small. I have captured some but that seemed to be more luck then anything else....

They are difficult lol.... easier to shoot bear's lol. I used spot and the 1.4III hand held

Your backyard is so much more interesting than mine... it's just not fair!  :p I had to drive 10+ hours and take a 3.5 hour ferry ride across Lake Superior to Isle Royale to get this photo of a fox -- and you have them running around your yard! :-P
