Now that could be lol, but the 70-300l didn't do it lol and I've taken just as much with it. You could have worse stuff in your lens...

Kestrel at the O’Reilly’s Birds of Prey show.

Lovely Shot.

Nice light, too, which you often get at O'Reilly's. Unfortunately, the day that I was at the bird show it was baking hot direct sun.

Cheers, Damien

Wow I had no idea people were having this much of a dust problem with the II. Is this a case of just a few outlier incidents or is this problem more systemic with this lens design?

Including myself, Pondrader and the 2 members who got the tools out that's 4 reports of dusty lenses. There are probably a few people who have not had a good look inside. I think it's fair to say the majority of 100-400 II owners are not reporting unusually high dust ingress.

I went for a 'convenience' break in the bush today and discovered I was not alone. A Southern Boobook owl.

Pretty sure it's this owl that I encountered last year.

I just checked, i have zero dust in mine.

I prefer to be in the bush with the animals than a crowded city.

The owl looks unimpressed with what it must have seen!

Still waiting for the wisdom they promised would be worth getting old for.

Yep! Like mildew and fungal growths.

Mom came out with her little ones for the first time this morning. I had to shoot this through a dirty double pane window.

Some wildlife from the back yard. I swear they look as happy and lazy as every pet I've ever had.
