Jul 19, 2017 05:02 | #6247 Another one from the airport that day. Had to push the shadows a bunch because of the light, but I still like it. I always struggle with abstract anything, but I do have two possibilities for an abstract reflection. Which do you prefer? Image editing ok; C&C always welcome.

I have been listening almost every night since June 23 to the sound of a Powerful owl chick (or chicks) trilling - begging for food. I believe the parents are starting the process of encouraging it out of the nest and expect it to make a jump in 7 days. Really hoping it has a sibling in there. Wow... Lucky you!!!

I tend to like abstract patterns for photography (outside of photography with a defined "subject/ intent", so to speak), and the first one tickles that for me. The second is a shot of a transformer in a window. The best part is the pole being overlaid by the central pillar of the window, but it's still not really abstract (you can tell easily tell what both the reflector and the reflection are), and it just has that one bit of compositional interest. If I had shot it, I'd play around with it in LR before deciding "bah, that was more interesting in my head than reality". https://www.flickr.com/photos/127590681@N03/

That's the type of critique I was hoping to receive. #1 it is. In case you can't tell, it's the reflection of sailboat masts in slightly rough water. Image editing ok; C&C always welcome.

That's why I think that one is a good abstract shot. https://www.flickr.com/photos/127590681@N03/
