Dunno what's going on with the season here but I normally only see these in spring/summer. All my aloes are in flower early and the grevilleas haven't stopped flowering all year. I even saw a scarlet honeyeater on the grevillea yesterday but it had gone by the time I went back inside for the camera. The cam netting's gone up on the pergola just in case everything visits early this year but it's looking that way. And you won't quite get the subject/background separation that you would get using the long F/2.8 primes. 2 Canon 1Dx's | Canon R6 | EF 70-200 F2.8 L IS II | Canon 300mm F2.8 I | EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM | Canon Extender EF 2x III | Canon Extender EF 1.4x III | Editing of photos is okay.

digitalparadise Awaiting the title ferry... More info Post edited over 6 years ago by digital paradise. | Jul 24, 2017 09:50 | #6267 Yeah I shot a night game using my 300L F4 IS and that day I learned what the meaning of a fast lens was. I wished I had one more stop as I was maxed out with ISO. Even at 1/500 I was getting hand and foot motion blur that showed a little movement which was not al bad. It would have been impossible to freeze that. Image Editing OK

Jul 24, 2017 10:09 | #6268 And it depends on the sport - it would be excellent for panning shots of cycling, for example (or I assume it would, but haven't tried). That's a whole different beast from field sports though. https://www.flickr.com/photos/127590681@N03/
