Personally I think that Pondrader Guy went a little over board with his spread on wildlife in the great white north. Personally I think he lives in a zoo of some sort. Theres no way one guy can find that many critters..... and get close enough to get those shots.... Just Sayin

Dammit Jeff, you are seriously going to have to consider publishing a photo book.

Camera, some lenses, too little time, too little talent

Been offline for quite a few weeks but finally managed to get out. As is usually the case, I took the wrong camera so lacked reach. These are huge crops as with my eye sight, I have trouble following them or even finding them in the viewfinder at full stretch anyway but I've done my best PP and I'm happy just to have seen them after being out of the loop

It's a lost cause, Pandraider can type, but speech is beyond him. If the Bear couldn't teach him, the Marten will have no better luck.

I have been really impressed with this lens. I really prefer primes but this lens has surprised me with its focus speed and image quality.

You will get use to the idea that you can have the IQ speed and clarity in a smaller package Carol. I've said it a bunch of times.. I dont feel out gunned at all standing beside the big heavy white lenses... and I can move with the wind. And theres no smaller primes that can out do the 100-400LII... Yet anyway
Great light helps but is shines in the bad as well.

These guys were actually nested on a flourescent light over the door, under roofing, of a mountain cafeteria..............less than 3 metres from the ground and pretty dark during the day, it must have got hot for them when the lights switched on! I could have reached out and touched them but mum was watching. Passersby were oblivious but I spotted the droppings. The yellow streak to their beaks is to guide mum in feeding........they lose it as adults
