I'm Gobsmacked........ Wow

Congrats, Jeff...... those "likes" are a direct result of your amazing work. You inspire so many of us. Add to that the personal help you've given me over the years..... I am in your debt.

So Thank You for being you.

I have to agree with Kim. You set a high bar and give us some great images to learn from... I know I have joked with you about how you get your furry friends to pose... all kidding aside you have some of the best critter images I’ve ever seen. Thank you for sharing them and being so willing to answer questions and give guidance around how you got your images. Great work. And an even better attitude towards all of us trying to learn.
Thanks Jeff!

Well deserved Jeff. I'm surprised to se that I'm sitting at 15 but I put that down to you and Jake as it was your images that persuaded me to shift to the 7Dmkll and Jake's thread that got me on to the 100-400mkll. I just wish that I was in a better physical condition to lift the bloody things!

Thank you both

Thanks a ton Keltab... I dont think I'm the best of the best.. But I have been lucky enough to live where there are some really great critter's to shoot on a regular basis. And of course I love to show off of course. The last 5 or 6 years have been a real good time with the camera.. any camera really. And passing on any real life experiences is just who I am.

Not to say it hasn't been an emotional roller coaster at times, because it has. I'm just glad I got to ride.

I will say it doesn't matter which 7D to mount.. the images can be stellar from the 100-400LII !! Sometimes I like the 7D images more the the MkII

Most definitely a Fantastic Mr Fox (unless it's a girl of course ;))

I'm trying to convince myself I can afford this lens (mostly for motorsports on the 5D4), but I also would want to use it on my old 7D for astrophotography. Good to know they work well together, as I've seen a few reports from people struggling with it on crop bodies.

Camera, some lenses, too little time, too little talent

Mostly issues on the 80D and 7DII oddly (soft and hazy images vs FF bodies). I've not used the 7DII, but the 80D is a great camera for the money - so I'm surprised there are issues with it and the 100-400II. Clearly you're not having any problems with this lens!

I've just got to get over the spending hurdle and buy that it ;-)a (It's only money, eh)

Good to know about the hazy images on the 7D2. I will look into a different lense.

I would look at Jeff (Pondrader's) images rather than my hearsay.
