The main dam to the beaver pond breached in the rain storm Saturday night. It's been a wet year and the latest round was just too much. Here a young raccoon feeds in the mud. Stayed late but didn't see any busy little beaver. The red shouldered hawk flew over looking also.

I saw this Great Blue sitting back under the canopy. He had this very pretty light on him and he looked like he was about to move. So, I waited for him.

The problem is.....I've seen these guys sit motionless for hours. But, not today. He hopped from one branch to another shortly after I got there.

I love the little dust off of his feet after he lifts off.

Pretty guy.

I wasn't aware you could get infinity focus with the 12mm tube. I have tried that sort of stack before, but only on a 70-200; I should try it again.

Camera, some lenses, too little time, too little talent

Got my work order yesterday that I knew would take me by this fenced waterworks that is known for harboring trophy bucks so I packed my camera along. Glad I did :) .

Hi Annie. Nice sharp moon shot. Your part of the UK is more devoid of light pollution than mine. I had a very good friend who lived at Dalwhinny on the bank of Loch Ericht, the night sky was so unbelievably clear. He then bought a house on the bank of West Loch Tarbet, again unbelievable clear skies - and lots of wildlife too.
My moon shots were a not really presentable - too much cloud cover. :-(
