Lovely shot as always. Great detail, especially around the head, good colours and a nicely blurred background.

This really is a fantastic image! I'm glad it is hanging on a few walls because it deserves to be there.

Nice. Did you need to do any MFA with the extender?

Thanks. I MFA all my telephotos. Picking up an extender 1.4. Seems like there's a big + on them.

This was pretty spectacular....even for me.

I've seen Great Blues and Anhingas square off before....I guess they just don't get on very well. Usually they do the stare down, get all fluffed up, make noises.....that's about it.

But today I got to record David and Goliath.

Here they squared off...the Blue poofing all up....the Anhinga, flipping his neck around and squawking. Next thing I know the Anhinga leaps right into the Blue's face and I could tell the Blue was not at all expecting it. He did all he could to get out of the line of attack and backing down was not remotely in the Anhinga's plans.

Even as the Blue started to move away the Anhinga jumped up at the Blue again and fell backward into the water. That gave the Blue his chance to put a little distance between himself and the Anhinga.

Pretty exciting few seconds it was.
