The Red-winged Blackbirds were the only ones being cooperative photo subjects this morning at Bombay Hook NWR.

A few birds from a windy morning at Prime Hook NWR.

1) White-throated Sparrow

2) Great Blue Heron catching Breakfast

3) More Breakfast for the Heron

4) This little Carolina Chickadee was eating some of the buds off a Red Maple.

5) More of the Chickadee

I finally bought a copy of this lens and headed out to the Canadian Raptor Conservancy for my first time using it. This lens does not disappoint.

Great shots, but... is a Canadian Raptor a bit like an American Raptor, only much more polite (and apologies profusely as it rips its prey to shreds)?

Asking for a friend.

Camera, some lenses, too little time, too little talent

Some of them are actually American birds that only stay for the free food and health care. :)
