Except that your images are screaming good as there is no replacement for displacement. I never researched VII but was surprised when I was researching VIII they mentioned the CA on VII.  With my 70-200 F4 IS  crop  Image Editing OK

I'm hoping I see the same thing next time I'm out shooting birds. I don't think I'm imagining things... but one never knows.
