Spent this last weekend out in the Pacific Beach/Seabrook area of the Washington coast where, amazingly, the weather cooperated and I was able to get out and take some pictures.

I'm always looking for critique / cc to learn and improve. Thanks!

Excellent landscapes, beautifully exposed and composed. I especially like the last one - a wall-hanger for sure!

Nice shots. I like the 2nd one, it's the most interesting to me.

Nice photos. First one is my favorite. Third one is my least. I think at a longer exposure to soften the water would give a good contrast between the sharpness of everything else and the softness of the water. Unless it was standing water? Not flowing? Other than that good job :)

Thanks guys, appreciate it!

Varneeezy - Moving water for sure, not all that quickly, but definitely moving. Third one was standing water, or not really noticeably moving.

Re: the first shot - here are a couple more that I posted to the 9 & 10 stop ND filter thread in Landscape:

I like #2 from your first set. I straight away noticed the top of the tree missing, if this is the comp, then make sure you include it, if it is the crop, add the top back in. The tree isn't dense enough to cut the top off. Secondly, this would be a great spot to include some staged lighting like the real estate guys and girls do. Take many shots with a strobe catch lighting certain areas even more than they are and adding a few new ones. Add the layers in PS.

Hi roodig - yes, unfortunately on shot 2, that is the composition of the shot

I didn't notice until I was at home looking at the shots on my computer. Thanks for the feedback, I like the idea of lighting up certain areas and I can kind of visualize what that would look like. Unfortunately I've only got a single 430 EX (on camera) in the lighting department so I'll have to experiment with something like that later.

You need to see Mike Kelley videos on youtube. He's also on here too.
