Went out for a photowalk with a group at Chor Bazaar (external link). It was a first full fledged Street shoot for me. Always wanted to try this. Shot with a Canon 60D + 10-18. All of them are shot from the hip. Do comment and let me know how they are and what I need to do better.

I love the post processing on all of them. Gives them a great feel.

I think they all would have more impact with a tighter crop.

Thank you for the feedback.
I tried a more wider crop but I think I need to incorporate some story in these shots for the wider ones to work. Anyways thanks.

These are great. I have been to India 4 times and am going back later this spring for another trip. 10-18 seems to be working well shooting off the hip for you. I have had great success with a longer lens (70-200) shot mostly at 200 end. I tend to like to sink back into scene and be discreet as possible. That said, I may have to try your method in the market places when I go back!

Cheers,

john

Thanks John.
Teles don't give the real feel, I feel ;-)a. But they are nice if you need portraits but not the environment kinds.

Welcome to India. May you have an excellent trip.
