"I've been framed" said the baby elephant

One of the shots I'm always looking for with wildlife is when the angle allows me to frame one angle with another. This shot was taken at Chobe NP on my May 2014 trip. Lighting was poor, so I was heavy handed with processing.

I guess my question to the viewer: Does this work or feel over processed?

For me it looks over processed, but that is just me. There seems a movement towards this sort of presentation, even when (IMO) its not needed. I like the framing tho!

Gbgb, Thanks for commenting. I tend to agree. As I noted, it was heavily back lit, so I had to go pretty extreme to recover the image. That said, it seems to resonate with non-photographers, which is part of why I'd like to have this community comment.

I like it, but the first thing I noticed was the green, and purple coloring on the youngsters trunk. Could you retrieve any detail in the adults back leg?
